A workshop designed for intermediate and advanced students ready to make large scale work. Explore the tools and essential techniques needed to successfully make large vessels. Blending traditional methods with modern tools, Steve will share tips on working intuitively while intimately connecting with the material to develop a generous approach to process. Techniques include centering large amounts of clay, throwing with added coils, making pots in sections, and using the paddle and anvil to shape form. safe and healthy ways to work at scale. Participants should be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance. Previous experience required.
NOTE: No firing during this session, but some work may be eligible for post workshop bisque firing. See details here.
